This year's Schwetzinger Musikfestspiele will start with the First
Performance of Enno Poppe's "IQ" on 27th of April. The music theatre for
voices, ensemble, electronics is played by
Klangforum Wien. The libretto by Marcel Beyer deals with IQ tests and intelligence.

The publisher Wegbereiter Verlag will soon be releasing their “Zionslieder”,
a comprehensive collection of 4-part hymns and sacred songs. This lavishly
produced volume is based on the 1893 edition (rev.1917) of the same name
and comprises 705 titles on 680 pages. Not only were ngb responsible for
the engraving and layout for this volume, but also evolved the typographical
concept behind it and offered editorial support to the publisher.

Rebecca Saunders’ new Violin Concerto (commissioned by Beethovenfest
Bonn and BBC Radio 3) will be premiered in Bonn on the 29th of September
by Carolin Widmann and the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by
Sylvain
Cambreling.
The UK premiere will take place at the Barbican on February
12th, 2012.
